Basketball Roster Assistant is a freeware program designed for the coaches of youth basketball and city leagues. It allows for planning of line-ups prior to games as well as keeps a nice history of rosters used, who started what games, and player positions. Before a game the coach can set up the roster for each quarter by position such as center, point guard, and forward as well as bench players and subs. A print out can be made of the line-up to be used during the basketball game. This, together with the record, can help coaches keep track of playing time and who got to play which position. The software has a simple GUI allowing to browse through the team, games, and rosters. To enter in a roster just open a new roster and start typing in player names. Once a player name is entered, it gets put into the team roster. From that point forward, the name can be entered through the pull down menu, so there is less typing and less chance to misspell a childs name.
