This unique product simulates the actual physics of a boat and forces acting on the boat, the wind and current, in the procedure of bringing a vessel to the dock. The program allows contouring the physical parameters to create a virtual boat like the user's, if the default 36' vessel does not "feel" like your boat. Single prop and twin prop configurations are available as defaults, and prop direction is controllable to simulate your own boat's configuration. Current and wind direction and force are controllable in the program, to simulate actual docking procedures. Docking lines are placeable to demonstrate the use of spring lines, bow and stern lines in varied situations, such as springing off a dock into a beam wind, or downwind or down current docking situations.A complete manual is included which defines basic procedures, and use of the program, with several examples. The software has been created, tested, and evaluated by knowledgeable boatmen, who've found it invaluable. BoatMaster has proved extremely valuable in teaching, practicing, AND in debriefing after difficult docking situations. No other program is available that does this as well as BoatMaster.
