The main diference between HIS 2006 and other programs in this field is that HIS 2006 is monitoring all programs running on the PC and not just those, which are connecting to the internet. Current programs are monitored and you can allow them or block. This function is effective mostly when you are visiting web pages with high risk of containing spyware and trojans ( warez, pornographical web pages). This function could be effective for employers, who want to disallow the access to employees to different programs and to maximize the working time of the employees. Also this function could be used as a parent lock.The program is monitoring all data trasfers, which is shown through graph, also show the speed of all transfers like maximum download, maximum upload, average download/upload... and also the type of connection to the internet.
Also is monitoring all programs which are connecting to the internet, email accounts and LAN.
You can turn on/off the function of blocking all connections. HIS 2006 is monitoring all processes running on your PC, also the programs which are not connecting to the internet and shows additional informations about these programs.
