MediaWiki is a powerful wiki engine for web-based document collaboration - providing a mechanism for multiple people to work together in creating and editing a body of information. It includes powerful wiki tools that allow you to create content using 'wikitext,' a simple plain text format that eliminates the need to write cumbersome HTML code. You can also link pages together easily, create new pages on the fly, add images and other media, comment on pages and track page revisions.
MediaWiki was originally developed for the Wikipedia project and now deployed on many sites around the world.
This JumpBox includes MediaWiki version 1.10.0.
