LeanQuotes enables the user to download individual or multiple historical quotes (up to 500 securities; the trial version is limited to 3) for stocks, mutual funds, or ETFs and automatically sorts the quotes and places them into alphabetically-categorized worksheets. The software also allows for the download of current (15-min delay) quotations, financial statements, option pricing data, as well as key financial statistics.This add-in directly imports into Excel and allows the user to analyze past price performance and/or develop a trading system in Excel. LeanQuotes can reduce the amount of data collection time by at least 85% (when downloading a minimum of 50 company data series) versus downloading directly from Yahoo!, MSN, or other financial site. Since LeanQuotes uses Excel, the formatted data can be easily saved in XLS, CSV, TXT, PRN, WKS, WQ1, and DIF formats allowing for the exporting of data to other stand-alone trading systems.
