Software`s modular composition considerably increases reliability because all modules operate as autonomous software. If one unit stops working, other parts go on working. For example if the `record` unit fails, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` module.The software does `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be activated by activity, human face detection, or by schedule.The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording.
