[Description of the Software] The program is used for viewing VLSI layout which is in GDSII Stream Format. Both GDSII_to_ASCII and ASCII_to_GDSII translators are built into this GDSII Viewer. You do not need to type commands for carrying out translations any more. [Features] Free of charge (freeware) - but you are welcomed to donate Platform indepedent (using Java programming language) Zoom in / out View layers in different colors Customize colors for a layer View cell (block) hierarchy Toggle on/off for any layer Toggle on/off for any cell (block) Translate GDSII to ASCII Translate ASCII to GDSII[About Downloading] The downloaded file name should be "gdsview.zip". Please decompress the file before running the program.[How to Run the Program] After you have had Java SDK or JRE installed on your computer, you can choose from one of the following three options:(1)For Windows (XP) users, just double-click on the icon "gdsview.jar" or "gdsview.bat".(2)For Windows (XP) users, you can also click on "Start --> Run..." of your computer. Then type "cmd" followed by clicking "OK" to invoke the DOS prompt window.
